Russell Brand has strayed away from his
happy-go-lucky kind of life. Loud and very outspoken, the Hollywood star’s been
involved with many different incidents before. That was until he discovered
transcendental meditation in 2009.
For his
morning routine, he starts with a mixture of yoga and meditation. He calls this
combination a “shower for the brain”.
Russell
Brand’s had a history with drugs and alcohol. Today, he’s living a cleaner and
happier life. In fact, the star’s been sober for 12 years. He comments on his
morning routine saying: “It’s really good if you’ve had addiction issues. It’s
highly psychological, and very beautiful, and overwhelming, and real, and
trippy!”
Like other
stars, Russell Brand has close ties
with David Lynch, a movie director known for offering courses on transcendental
meditation. During a meet and greet at one of Brand’s tours, he gave away an
autographed photograph, and some of David Lynch’s works namely his documentary
“Meditation, Creativity, Peace” and his book “Catching the Big Fish”.
Transcendental
meditation has really changed Russell Brand’s life. Fame drew him to make the
wrong decisions. With TM, he has learned how to live a healthier life and
improve his mental stability.
To show his
gratitude for how much this method has changed his life, he intends to share
the said gift with other people. He’s held several talks about transcendental
meditation, and has even spoken about it to people at Operation Warrior
Wellness Launch.
Changing
people, improving lives, transcendental meditation is something to consider. Russell Brand is just an example of the
benefits of this said method of meditation.
